Welcome to Oasis Elementary School, home of the Bobcats!

Oasis Elementary is a TK/K-6 school located in the heart of Twenty-nine Palms, California, in the Mojave Desert.  We are a Title 1 school, with approximately 600 students.  Surrounded by Joshua Trees, Yucca Plants, Ocotillo, and an abundance of desert wildflowers and critters, such as bobcats, coyotes, snakes, and jack rabbits, Oasis offers an excellent educational environment for all.

Our expansive campus offers fun, yet rigorous academic learning environment throughout.  Our facility encompasses many beautiful classrooms, expansive playgrounds, physical education areas, 2 computer labs, 2 resource rooms, an intervention room, a large multi-purpose room for lunch, events, & assemblies, a gorgeous shaded courtyard, new modern administrative offices, itinerant offices for speech, psychology, counseling, and our military connection coordinated care team, an alternative care room/recess area, and a beautiful desert oasis garden.  We have a beautiful and seasoned campus with lots to offer.

Moreover, we offer STC (Save the Children) After School Program from 3:00-6:00 p.m. after school hours.  This program focuses on reading and improving skills, while still having fun.  They incorporate AR (Accelerated Reading) into their program.

We also offer After School Enrichment Clubs each semester.  Students have a chance to experience a little bit of everything to help with academics, but also learn more about the world, culture, life skills, STEM/STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math), and GATE (Gifted and Talented Education), while having fun.  We offer such clubs as tutoring, computers, sewing, art, fitness, GATE, and more.

We also have student ambassadors that are part of our student council.  These students help organize fun activities throughout the year.  Some activities are spirit days, reading activities, AR reading goals, and action projects to help the school community as a whole.

Teachers, staff, and our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) work hard to coordinate and offer many events throughout the year, as well.  Some of the many events include:  Annual Pioneer Day Parade School Float, Fall Festival, McTeacher Night at McDonalds, Winter Festival and Bazaar, Book Fairs, Dances, Color Run, Luau, Bingo 4 Books, Community Service Projects, and more.  We welcome all parents to volunteer and get involved.  Inquire in the main office for more information.

OES strives to bring rigorous and engaging lessons to all students encompassing and nurturing the whole child.  Incorporating ELA, Math, Social Studies, & Science CCSS (Common Core State Standards), and NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), along with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) project-based lessons & activities, are Oasis Elementary School’s top priorities.  Using a holistic and well-rounded approach, along with teaching a love for learning, where all students thrive, generates a successful learning environment for our kids.

Oasis is also committed to promoting a positive atmosphere.  Our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) Program ensures a learning environment that promotes positivity, respect, diversity, kindness, and acceptance, allowing all students to thrive and truly enjoy learning.

Finally, I am proud to be an Oasis Bobcat and look forward to working with each of you in all Oasis has to offer.  To learn more about our school, or talk with me one-on-one, please contact the school at any time by phone or email.  I look forward to meeting you.
