PBIS CAMPS FOR THE WIN!

Dear Prospector Families,

It's been a marathon start up, refining PBIS and Playworks, celebrating monthly awards and perfect attendance!

We invited over 500 students to PBIS Dance and Baseball Camps, and we were thrilled to host over 100 students at our Saturday and weekday camps. It was a joy to see our students starry-eyed with their coaches and high-school helpers! Our next quarterly camps will be in January. If you receive a permission slip and return it filled out on time, your child will be put on the roster for camps.

Students have been earning gold slips to save up for monthly Prospector Pride Friday celebrations. They use their gold slips to 'buy' prizes such as pencils, extra recess, air hockey, lunch with the principal, and much more!

We celebrated 250 students who had perfect attendance in September last week. Many students joined us at Saturday Academy to make up missed absences. Saturday Academy focuses on STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.

Teachers will be communicating information on quarterly awards at the end of the quarter. We also look forward to seeing our families at our Trunk or Treat event on October 30 and at parent conferences on November 13.

We are looking forward to another successful quarter at YVES!

SURVEYS AND PARENT INPUT

We have almost finished rounding up the school funding data collection form. THANK YOU for participating to ensure that our school gets the most funding possible. We have 400/640 surveys completed! If you have not yet completed the funding data collection form, please go to: School Funding Data Survey The more forms we have completed, the more likely we will get more funding for our school! :) The survey closes on October 31, 2019.

The next survey coming up is the LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan). It is how the district gathers input from you about our programs and next steps in priorities and school improvements. The confidential LCAP is open now. Click here to participate: LCAP Survey

Thank you for taking the time to support our school and district. Your partnership is valuable to our growth and success!
