To be eligible, you must be a military spouse, a high school senior, or a currently enrolled college or vocational student whose sponsor is assigned to either the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, CA or the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA. Applicants must be pursuing their first Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Vocational Degree in their selected field of study. All ranks are encouraged to apply.

    Disabled American Veterans (DAV) empowers Veterans to lead high quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: Fulfilling our promise to the men and woman who served.DAV does this by ensuring that veterans and their families have access to the full range of benifits available to them.
    Defination of a veteran: An individual that has compleated their term of military service as evidanced by recipt of a DD-214
    Eledageability Requirements:  
    • Student MUST be a dependent of a veteran and have proof (DD-214 or a VA letter showing service).
    • Student must be accepted to 2 year Community College, a 4 year university, or a Techanical/Trade school that will result in a degree or certificate. 
    •  GPA of 2.5 or above

    Students can fill out the application in the TPHS Counciling office and submit with a seperate type written paragraph explaining why they would be the Ideal candidate for the scholarship.

    To be considered for the Microsoft disAbility Scholarship, you must:

    Your Audience: Young drivers who are new to the road. 
    Your Topic/Brief: Stop distracted driving, specifically texting while driving. A lot of texting and driving prevention use scare tactics or preachy messaging that addresses the consequences of texting and driving (crashes or death). We want you to address what motivates people to think they can safely text and drive.

      One Scholarship in the amount of $10,000, and one prize of $1,000 awarded to the winner’s school.

                            Scholarships are awarded to EVERY eligible applicant !! 



    • Active duty or reserve U.S. Marine
    • Veteran U.S. Marine who has received an honorable discharge, or who was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps
    • Active duty or reserve U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving, or has served, with a U.S. Marine unit

    The CMC Foundation Alumni Scholarships are intended to encourage students from the local high schools to pursue their first two years at Copper Mountain College and then transfer to finish their Bachelor’s degree at a 4-year college or university. 

    Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

    1. Two letters of recommendation. One (1) letter must be from a current or former teacher/instructor.
    2. Minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. Official High School transcripts must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the scholarship application.
