LCAP

The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which requires schools and districts to describe goals and specific actions to achieve those goals for all students and subgroups in eight priorities must be updated yearly. The LCAP presents a unique opportunity to measure the factors that are important to produce a well-rounded education for all students. As part of our process, we are asking for feedback that will be utilized to assess our progress toward meeting our objectives. Condor PTO Announces the Box Tops and Labels Class Competition!

 

Do you have Box Tops for Education, UPC codes, or Tyson A+ labels sitting around your house hiding somewhere? Maybe you have some in your pantry just waiting to be cut out? Well, what are you waiting for? Send them in with your child!

Every month, PTO will calculate the total of box tops/labels earned for each classroom. The classroom with the most at the end of each quarter will win a popcorn or popsicle party. The student from each grade with the most will win a special prize each quarter.  

Money earned from the Box Tops and labels help your child's school PTO earn money to purchase items for the school and classrooms. The funds earned through these programs also help pay for the events we put on each year.

Morongo Unified Nutritional Services offers party snacks that meet all Federal and State guidelines. You may order the following treats through your school cafeteria. 
 
Parents are welcome to join their children in the cafeteria for lunch on their birthdays. If you plan to eat a school lunch, please call at least one day in advance to order an adult lunch. Please contact the classroom teacher to discuss additional celebrations. Contact the cafeteria supervisor if you are interested in ordering approved treats for special occasions.
 
Instructional time cannot be used for celebration of birthdays. Please do not send or bring balloons, flowers, candy, cakes, or gifts to the student at school. These items are disruptive and will not be delivered to student classrooms.
*All parties must be held a minimum of one hour after lunch. Please speak to your child's teacher before planning a party. All party treats must be ordered through nutritional services.*
 
The following treats are available for birthdays: 
Celebration Cookies- $.50 each, 24 hours notice
Chocolate or Vanilla Cupcakes- $.75 each, 24 hours notice
 The following treats are available for teacher-directed/planned activities: 
Ice Cream, Assorted Flavors- $1.00 each, 36 hours notice
Pizza (serves 8)- $10.00, one week minimum notice
 
All items must be paid for in advance. Orders may be placed in the cafeteria.

Morongo Unified School District utilizes Illuminate Education's student information system. A Student Portal for student access is available for students to view their grades, take online assessments, and view attendance. Click here to access the Student Portal. Students will sign in with their district provided username and password. A Parent Portal is also available. Please email the school's Site Data Coordinator by clicking here for your parent access code and directions on how to sign up.

Student registration

Condor Elementary services families who live within the housing areas of:  Shadow Mountain, Sunflower Terrace, Condor Terrace, Joshua Heights, Marine Palms, Adobe Flats, Copper Canyon, and the Sunshine Peak Trailer Park.  Students walk or are driven to school - there is no bus service

You will need to supply the items listed below when registering a student:

  • Proof of Residence (lease agreement, cable bill, house phone bill, or a letter from housing).
  • Birth Certificate
  • Shot Record with required immunizations: 4 Polio (or 3 if one given after 4th birthday), 5 DPT (or 4 if one given after 4th birthday), 2 MMR with one given after age one, 1 Varicella, Hep B (series of 3).
