MESSAGES FOR STUDENTS

As a reminder, we do not take message for students. This is a safety feature for the protection of your child. If you would like to speak with your child before the end of the school day, please make sure you call our office PRIOR to 1:30pm. After 1:30, we can not guarantee we can get the message to your child to call your phone number that is listed in the school database. 

SCHOOL FUNDING DATA COLLECTION FORM
Morongo Unified School District will now be asking you to complete the School Funding Data Collection Form online.  This form will replace the Online Meal Benefit Application.  Your application could help increase funding for our schools.  We urge each family to complete this form.

You may start applying electronically on our district website BEGINNING AUGUST 1, 2018.  If you experience any difficulties completing the On-Line form or if we can be of assistance please call us at (760)367.9191 ext. 4263 or 4271.   We look forward to a great 2018-2019 school year serving your child(ren).

ONLINE REGISTRATION
 
1.  Registration for students new to MUSD is now online.  Please clink on the link below to take you to the MUSD Online Registration area. 
2.  If your child was a 6th grader from one of our feeder schools - Condor, Oasis, Palm Vista, or 29 Palms Elementary last year, you do not need to register them as they are automatically rolled over to us from their feeder school.  
3.  If your child attended 6th grade at an MUSD elementary school not listed above, please call the school to register them.

NEW STUDENT INFORMATION - PLACEMENT TESTING

1.  For the 2018-2019 school year, all students new to Twentynine Palms Junior High are required to take an English and Math Placement test.  Once you register online and your registration has been accepted by the school, the Registrar Secretary will be calling you to schedule this placement test for your child.  Please do not expect a call before August 9th, 2018.  
2.  If your child was in MUSD as a 6th grader, they have already taken this test and do not need to again.

REMIND APP
 
Parents will be able to sign up for this app with their cell phone to receive important updates from Mrs. Smalling regarding TPJHS. Example of events Mrs. Smalling sends out text messages for:  1. When busses are running late.  2. Reminders for events happening that day, 3. Late Start days. These are just a few examples of events that notices are sent out for. Get up to date information with the Remind App.     
 
Information on how to sign up for this app will be given out at Orientation on August 22nd.

TDAP SHOTS REQUIRED FOR 2018-2019

California law requires that ALL incoming 7th graders must have the "Tdap" booster prior to starting school this fall for the 2018-2019 school year. Students who have not received their Tdap booster will NOT be allowed to start school in August 2018.

The state law SB277 states that personal and religious beliefs exemptions (or waivers) are no longer valid. Those students with waivers signed during elementary school must now meet ALL school immunization requirements, including Tdap, for 7th grade.

No Shots? No Record? No school.

Children will not be enrolled unless an immunization record is presented and immunizations are up-to-date.*

*If your child is unimmunized due to religious, personal or medical reasons, please notify us. California started on January 1, 2016, exemptions based on personal beliefs, including religious beliefs, are no longer allowed.
