Information for Prospective AC2E Students

Full-Time students at the Academy of College and Career Excellence (AC2E) complete at least half of their coursework independently utilizing a rigorous online curriculum. AC2E provides highly-qualified, credentialed teachers, who are on campus daily from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m, providing individualized academic support and assistance. Certain courses require small group interaction, usually for 1-hour blocks either once or twice per week. These include lab science courses and selected electives.

Students applying to AC2E should be self-directed, self-motivated and able to efficiently manage their time. They should be reading/writing at least at the 9th grade level and should be proficient in using a computer.

The AC2E program is popular with students who desire a flexible school schedule. This includes students who are employed, students with special medical needs, or students who are experiencing social challenges at their current schools. AC2E also sponsors social activities and community service projects, to ensure that students develop positive peer interaction and leadership skills.
