Mr. INGRAM'S NOTES ON RULES AND POLICIES

ENTERING THE CLASSROOM:

Students must be Zoomed into the classroom at the designated time (see TPHS Bell Schedule above) or they are considered TARDY.  

  • BEGINNING OF CLASS:

While teacher is taking attendance students are expected to prepare their materials for instruction. 

Please have the following items handy for Mr. Ingram's class...

-notebook, paper

-pen/pencil

-textbooks (students may also use the digital/online version of the textbook)

 

  • RESTROOM POLICY:

Since this is HIGH SCHOOL students are expected to take care of their bodily needs before they come to class.

Since this is online Distance Learning, the same expectation applies.  Take care of your business before class starts.

 

  • HOMEWORK:

- Will be assigned 3-5 times a week

-Students may complete assignments on paper and submit via picture/email or 

-Students may complete assignment online and submit via CANVAS

 

  • ATTENDANCE/ABSENCES:

Even during online Distance Learning, attendance is mandatory. 

Students are expected to log on daily to assigned classes at specified times, according to the TPHS Bell schedule.

Students are expected to remain in attendance/logged on for entire class period as specified by teacher.

If student cannot attend online classes for any reason, just like during regular school...

STUDENT/PARENT/GUARDIAN IS EXPECTED TO NOTIFY THE SCHOOL OFFICE IN CASE OF ABSENCE. 

If student is absent on a day when an assignment is given then that student has the equal amount of missed time to make that assignment up, if the absence was EXCUSED.

If the absence was unexcused/truancy then no make up work will be accepted.

Students are to find out what was missed in the case of an absence from the teacher or other students.

  • GRADING POLICY:

Tests                30%            

Projects           30%    

Homework      30%    

Final Exam      10%    

              

A = 90%-100%

B = 80%-89.9%

C = 70%-79.9%

D = 60%-69.9%

F = 59.9% and below

Grade percentages are not “rounded”

Grades are updated regularly in Illuminate

 

  • CLASSROOM RULES:

Students are expected to follow all classroom rules at all times:

  1. Be prompt.  Be prepared.  Be polite
  2. Treat others the way you expect to be treated.
  3. No foul language or disruptive behavior online.
  4. No bullying either online or offline.
  5. Stay focused and involved during online instruction.

 

  • SCHOOL RULES:

All TPHS School Rules will be strictly adhered to at all times.

All violations of rules and behavior guidelines will be handled according to DISCIPLINE MATRIX and teacher discretion.

  • 1st offense - Verbal Warning
  • 2nd offense - Warning and Parent Notification
  • 3rd offense - Parent Notification and Written Referral

Some offenses may require immediate referral and parent notice

 

  • SUBSTITUTE POLICY:

Students are expected to treat a Substitute Teacher at least as well as they would treat Mr. Ingram.

All preceding rules and policies still apply.
