STEAM is an academic culture where student coursework is primarily focused on
The TPJHS community will use innovation and imagination to ensure a challenging, holistic, and authentic education promoting 21st century problem solving skills. 
To meet the needs of the mission statement, TPJHS will provide opportunities for ALL students to be innovative and create products within the curriculum.  To do this, we will participate in or create opportunities for enhanced student experiences, including…  
  • the development of thematically based student inquiry; a student driven curriculum generating high student interest.
  • cross-curricular/integrated collaboration within and between teams, amongst staff and students; all content areas are being taught in all classrooms throughout the day
  • the ability to adapt and change to meet student needs and interests.
  • the use or creation of manipulatives in all classes for a multisensory learning experience.
  • participation in and organization of competitions within the school, including cross-curricular teams, and with other schools.
  • the use of technology in all classrooms.
  • school-wide utilization of the design & engineering process.
  • maintaining a block schedule.
  • the utilization of common academic language across the campus .
  • the provision of ongoing professional development in STEM and good teaching practices to meet the needs cited above.  
The staff at Twentynine Palms Junior High School will do the best they can to meet these expectations for the betterment of our students, campus, and community. 

Science Fair Projects due by February 5th

Students interested in participating in Science Fair must see Mr. Schmit for enrollment.  Science Fair Projects will done individually with the potential of being accepted as a replacement assignment in Science classes.  Science Fair projects must follow the guidelines shown below.
