Visitors
We welcome you to visit La Contenta Middle School. The first Wednesday of each month is Parent Visitation Day. Parents may come for all or part of the day or just for lunch. The school’s hours are 7:09 – 1:51. 7th grade lunch is at 10:00 a.m. and 8th grade lunch is at 11:29 a.m.
If a parent would like to visit their child’s classroom on a day other than Parent Visitation Day, please remember that the visit would be for observation only. Please do not conference with the teacher concerning grades or behavior of your child or for any other matter. If you would like to visit the classroom to discuss a specific problem, concern, or matter, please arrange a meeting time with the teacher via a phone call, written note, or e-mail before your visit.
As always, everyone entering the La Contenta Middle School campus must first report to the main office to sign in and receive a visitor’s pass. Please be sure to have your picture ID with you.
Due to the district insurance policy, students attending another school are NOT permitted on the La Contenta Middle School campus.
Signing a Student Out of School/Contact with a Student
To ensure your child’s safety, picture ID must be presented each and every time some one wishes to visit a student on campus or sign a student out of school. The only person/people that a student will be released to or permitted to speak with are those who are listed on the blue Family Record Card. Please be sure to bring your picture ID into the main office with you.
Moved? Changed your Address or Phone Number?
Please be sure to report all changes of address and/or phone numbers to our office immediately by calling 760-228-1802. This is extremely important in case of an emergency.
Student Absences
We miss our students when they are absent! If your child must be absent from school, a parent must call our office at 760-228-1802 to report the absence or send a written note to the school the following day stating student's full name, today’s date, date student was absent, and reason for absence. Please remember to sign this note.
Please call our office or send a note with your child if they will be late for school. Your child must report to the main office prior to reporting to their classroom. A tardy note will be issued and sent with your child to their class.
