Many times at TPJHS we need parent volunteers to help with dances, drama plays, music programs, school-sponsored events, help out in classrooms, etc. In order to be a volunteer for Morongo Unified School District, a parent/guardian must have the proper paperwork on file with the school and Morongo Unified School District.
The paperwork to be a volunteer can be picked up at the school from the Administrative Assistant. Fingerprints and a TB test are required and must be submitted on the proper paperwork. There are fees involved with the fingerprints and the TB test. However, these fees can be recouped by doing 20 hours of documented volunteer work with the school. All paperwork must be returned to the Administrative Assistant along with a valid ID and a Social Security Card.
Once you have been approved by the district, the site will be notified and at that point, the Administrative Assistant will email your information to all the teachers. Teachers normally will be the ones contacting you to help volunteer for a specific event.
