Parents and/or Guardians:
The Onaga Elementary School community is committed to promoting a physically and emotionally safe environment where students can thrive socially and academically. In order to accomplish this, together various staff, students, and community members created Behavior Matrices for both the school and home learning environment. These matrices along with the school mantra of "Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Successful," have lead to a marked improvement in student behavior and discipline.
To be successful at ONES, our behavior system needs to be a partnership between home and school. We invite your comments, concerns, and ideas to make PBIS at Onaga the most successful program in the Morongo Unified School District.
Please support PBIS at ONES by:
- Reviewing behavior expectations with your child
- Go over the ONES Student Handbook
- Review the Schoolwide Matrix further down this page
- Use the 3Bs at home
- Be safe
- Be Respectful
- Responsible
- and your child WILL Be Successful
- Provide positive reinforcement (rewarding good choices with compliments or quality time) at home
- Sharing comments with, or asking questions of the PBIS team members (Ms. Mery can direct you to the team members)
