STUDENTS:     Saturday School: Our next Saturday School will be held Saturday December 3. Four hours of Saturday School will clear one full day absence. As a reminder 9 or more unexcused absences in any classes will result in no credit for that class. Please sign up in the attendance office or check your school e-mail for a link to sign up.  You can also sign up on the YVHS web-site.

Do you want to help families in need within our own community? NHS is hosting a holiday food drive for the Morongo basin. If you would like to help, please bring non-perishable food items and add them to the collection boxes around campus. We will collect food until Thanksgiving break.


The ASVAB has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 7:00 am in Q-4 and Q-5. 


Thanksgiving Break is November 21 to November 25.


Women’s Wrestling: The women's Wrestling team in still looking for more tough girls to join our team. Please see Coach Francis in room G-8 or stop by the wrestling room, located by the boys PE locker, after school.


Another dual at home Thursday November 17th against Rancho Mirage HS at 5pm. Saturday November 19th we have a tournament all day at Eastside HS in Lancaster for boys and girls.


Girls Basketball :( The Lady Trojan basketball team fell just short in a second round game at the Raincross Tournament losing to tournament host Riverside Poly 55-50 Tuesday night. 


Trailing 27-28 at halftime the Yucca girls were able to keep the Bears within striking distance several times in the second half when the Bears looked like they were about to put the game out of reach by extending their lead to 8 points twice in the second half.


 Senior Ashley Lowe was spectacular from long range knocking down 5 three point baskets to lead the team with 15 points. Junior Cadence Tarrant pumped in 14 points despite spending a majority of the game on the bench in foul trouble. Senior Malia Ulery was double teamed much of the game but was still able to notch 13 points while senior Jaylie Schreiber added 8 points as the girls fell to 1-1 on the season. 

The squad plays their third game of the tournament Wednesday afternoon at 5pm against the highly ranked Rancho Christian Eagles from Temecula.)


UCR STEM :If you are in GATE, and you are interested in going to the UCR STEM Lab on December 8th, please sign up with Mr. Martin in Room S1 and pick up a permission slip. Sign Ups are due by Friday to reserve your spot. )
