STUDENTS:     Saturday School: Our next Saturday School will be held Saturday December 3. Four hours of Saturday School will clear one full day absence. As a reminder 9 or more unexcused absences in any classes will result in no credit for that class. Please sign up in the attendance office or check your school e-mail for a link to sign up.  You can also sign up on the YVHS web-site.

Do you want to help families in need within our own community? NHS is hosting a holiday food drive for the Morongo basin. If you would like to help, please bring non-perishable food items and add them to the collection boxes around campus. We will collect food until Thanksgiving break.

Students: You will be given a covid-19 test before you leave for the break, please test before you return to school.

The ASVAB has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 7:00 am in Q-4 and Q-5. 


Thanksgiving Break is November 21 to November 25.


Women’s Wrestling: The women's Wrestling team in still looking for more tough girls to join our team. Please see Coach Francis in room G-8 or stop by the wrestling room, located by the boys PE locker, after school.


Another dual at home Thursday November 17th against Rancho Mirage HS at 5pm. Saturday November 19th we have a tournament all day at Eastside HS in Lancaster for boys and girls.


Girls Basketball The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team played a solid game but came up just a bit short losing 77-65 to a very talented Rancho Christian HS squad in a third round game at the Raincross Tournament in Riverside Wednesday afternoon. 


The Yucca girls came out firing jumping out to a 40-36 halftime lead against the private school powerhouse but couldn’t hang on as the Eagles began to assert themselves in the fourth quarter outscoring the Lady Trojans by 10 points to seal the win. 


Senior Malia Ulery was unstoppable in the first half scoring 20 of her game high 26 points while pulling down 12 rebounds and passing out 8 assists. Junior Cadence Tarrant was a force scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds while blocking 4 shots. Senior Jaylie Schreiber knocked down 8 points and fellow senior Ashley Lowe added 4 points. 


The loss dropped the team’s record to 1-2 on the young season. Next on the tournament schedule, the Lady Trojans will be facing Ayala HS of Chino on Friday at 630pm.
