STUDENTS:
Starting today, September 8, all students must have their ID card with them when coming into the library during passing periods and lunch. Students must stop by the librarian's desk to get their card scanned prior to sitting down or looking for a library book. Also, remember there is no food or drink, with exception to water, allowed in the library at any time.
Picture day is coming up! Underclassmen photos will take place during English class on September 22, 23, and 25. Informational pamphlets with package pricing have been distributed to English classrooms. If more pamphlets are needed, please see Mr. Sanchez. Senior portraits will be afterschool September 22-25. More details to follow.
Do you already have too many absences? Come to Saturday School on September 13th to clear some of your time. If you are on the no-go list, this is a great way to put yourself back in a position to go to events again. Sign up for Saturday School in the Attendance Office.
Don't forget! A second meeting for the 2025 Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship will take place this Sunday, September 7, from 6 to 7pm in room F-5 Joshua Springs School. Junior girls interested in joining should attend.
Get ready to make a splash, because Soak a Senior is coming your way on Thursday, September 12th! That’s right — your chance to soak your favorite senior is just around the corner! Here’s how it works: Three dollars gets you a cup of water. Five dollars gets you a full bucket. And for twenty bucks — you get 10 whole seconds with the hose. Yes, the hose! All the fun goes down during lunch, so bring your cash, bring your aim, and get ready to drench a senior — all in good fun! Again, that’s Thursday, September 12th — don’t miss it!"

Seniors: the 2026 Elks Most Valuable Student application is now open! Awards are between $500 to $2000 for local, and more for state! Deadline is November 12, 2025. Check your Synergy email or see Ms. Happy for information.
SPORTS:
Girls basketball practice will be held on the following dates: 9/8, 9/9, 9/10, and 9/11, from 5:00–6:30 PM. All interested players are welcome to attend. For more information, please see Ms. Kris in the office.
