Calling all trojans! If you are interested in being a campus leader, ASB applications for next year open up Monday, March 2! Applications are available to pick up in the ASB office and will be due by March 20.
Next Wednesday, March 4th, there will be a senior class-parent meeting at 6pm in Frakes Hall to discuss all the exciting things that are soon to come!
Get ready, Trojans! Today, we are playing our annual Ro-Sham-Bo game. You will receive your beaded necklace in your 2nd period class, then you can challenge someone to a game of rock-paper-scissors. Once you have 5 necklaces, then you can challenge a teacher. This game cannot be played during instructional time - only during breaks. Remember--this is a friendly game, so be kind and have fun!

Students, Staff, and Teachers!! It's that time of the year again for Lip Sync Battle!! If you would like to participate, please check your Synergy email for more information, and to sign up!
Next Friday we are having our senior class movie night at 6pm! We will be watching Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules on the football field. Outside food and beverages are not allowed, but there will be snacks to purchase for a low cost. Come out for a night full of nostalgia, seniors!
Seniors! If you have a senior package payment plan, the deadline is March 20. Failure to complete these payments will result in sitting out for Grad Nite, and you will not receive your yearbook. If you have any questions, contact Ms. Weiss in the ASB office.
Yearbook applications are available for students who would like to be on next year’s staff. Pick one up in L14, and turn completed applications in to Mr. Sanchez. Selected applications will be passed on to counselors for next year’s course selections. Applications are due today if you wish to be considered.
Sophomores -- You are eligible to take the PSAT 10 test in April. The PSAT test is a great practice for the SAT test and could make you eligible for college scholarships! The be included on the list for the test in April, please see Mr. Barrett in room H-1 during lunch, before school, or after school.
Don't forget to turn in your PRIDE tickets in F5 to be entered in to win February's free lunch from Castaneda's!!
Our next Saturday School is scheduled for Saturday, March 7. Saturday School is an excellent way for students to recoup absences, get off the no go list as well as use the time to catch up on any missing work. One session of Saturday School clears one full absence. Please sign up with the Attendance Office to reserve your spot.
SPORTS:
Your Yucca Valley High School swim team traveled to Desert Mirage yesterday, competing in a Tri-Meet against Desert Mirage High School and Imperial High School. The Trojans came away with big wins. The girls won 116-53, and the boys won 106-56. Congratulations, girls and boys swimming! Next week, Thursday, your Trojans travel down the hill again to take on the DHS Eagles.
Any male students that want to play tennis. We have practice after school Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00 PM. Please have your physical clear.
