Congratulations to the following Trojans for winning the PBIS Lunch Incentive from Castaneda's for the month of April: Dannyela Roberts, Moises Cervantes, Gwendolyn Griffith, and Lora Petrie! Please stop by F5 by Thursday to choose what you want to eat this Friday. Keep earning and turning in those PRIDE tickets!

Attention Students: If you park on the street near campus, please be mindful not to block any residential driveways or entrances to parking lots. Blocking access creates issues for homeowners and can result in complaints or citations. We appreciate your cooperation in being respectful to our surrounding community and helping keep access clear for everyone. Thank you.

The library will be closed today through Thursday, May 7, with the exception of 1st period.  The closure includes both lunches.  If you need to return books, please do so during 1st period.

Juniors and Seniors! Prom is coming up, and if you are on the no-go list for owing library items, now is the time to get everything taken care of!  Remember, you will not be admitted to Prom if you are missing anything! Also, if you are taking an underclassman, they will be denied entry as well if they owe anything.  Be sure to see Ms. Lisa in the library to either return the items or, if you no longer have the items, get information on what to do next.

Freshmen and Sophomores! If you are missing any items from YVHS or any other district site, remember that you are on the no-go list.  Being on this list will prohibit you from participating in any activities at YVHS, including, but not limited to, sports, dances, etc.  Remember that some sports are already preparing for next school year.

Order your 2026 yearbook today at Jostens.com. The book will arrive in May, so make sure to reserve your copy now.

Our next Saturday School is scheduled for Saturday, May 9. Saturday School is an excellent way for students to recoup absences, get off the no go list as well as use the time to catch up on any missing work. One session of Saturday School clears one full absence. Please sign up with the Attendance Office to reserve your spot.

Yucca Valley High School proudly congratulates the Trojan Golf Team on another undefeated league season! The team continued their dominance at league finals, with every player qualifying for Day 2 and finishing in the top 15 across the entire league. The Trojans now look ahead as they prepare to compete for success in Team CIF as well. A major highlight of the season is senior Benjamin Carlton, who once again led the way by winning league finals for the fourth consecutive year—a remarkable and rare achievement that speaks to his consistency, composure, and elite level of play over his entire high school career. Ben also helped secure one of the 4 CIF individual qualifying spots for the league, with junior Blake Morrison taking another spot for Yucca Valley. Congratulations to the entire team on an outstanding league season!

Last Wednesday, the Trojan swim team swam at the DVL League Finals.  The Trojans took home first place championship patches in over half of the events and finished in the top two for all the other events.  A standout at this event was Theodore Williams, who broke an 18-year-old school record in the 50 Meter Freestyle. The old record was 22.59 seconds, and Ted crushed it with a new school record of 22.39 seconds, Congratulations. Ted will join nine other swimmers who qualified to swim at CIF tomorrow at Mt. SAC.  The qualifying swimmers are Amanda Miranda, Maci Engle, Kelci Engle, Alabama Nealy, and Kaybren Allenbach for the girls, and Seth Mauk, Ryan Whitfield, William Treas, Ted Williams, and Bryan Jones for the boys.  Good luck tomorrow!
